For Good
Wicked Day 2008 is donating all proceeds to Thrive in order to support their Battersea Park Garden project.
Thrive has been successfully using gardening therapy to make a real difference to the lives of people with a disability for 30 years and is the only national charity of its kind. We offer practical support, advice, information and the opportunity to develop skills, knowledge and make positive life changes.
Thrive's Battersea Garden Project currently works with 50 people with disabilities aged between 17 and 70 from six inner London boroughs. However there are over 17,000 people with a registered disability in our closest two boroughs alone. To better meet the needs of these communities we are planning a major redevelopment to transform our facilities in Battersea Park which will increase the number of people able to benefit from the project to 250 and enable us to reach a further 2,000 through our community outreach work. This will cost some £765,000 of which Thrive have already secured £280,000. Support Wicked Day and help make this happen.
